When Kathryn and Constantin chose Wasing Park as the venue for their October 2024 wedding, they wanted their stationery to reflect not just the beauty of the season but also the unique warmth and intimacy of their day. Here’s how we designed an autumnal stationery suite that captured the essence of their celebration.
The Perfect Autumn Palette
Kathryn envisioned her wedding stationery in warm tones inspired by the season—think rich rusts, burnt oranges, golden yellows, and soft taupes, perfectly complemented by deep greens and touches of cream. This warm color palette not only reflected the autumnal theme but also harmonised beautifully with the natural surroundings of Wasing Park, a venue known for its stunning landscapes and rustic charm.
From the invitations to the on-the-day signage, every element was thoughtfully designed to reflect this palette. The delicate florals and foliage, hand-painted in watercolor, exuded a timeless elegance while staying true to the autumnal theme.
The invitation suite was the first glimpse guests had of Kathryn and Constantin’s wedding, setting the tone for what was to come.
We started with a three-piece invitation set, which included:
- A 5×7 main invitation featuring a hand-painted illustration of Wasing Park’s iconic façade.
- An A6 details card with all the practical information, surrounded by delicate autumn leaves.
- An A6 RSVP card, elegantly bordered by a continuation of the same foliage motifs.
Each piece was printed on Tintoretto Gesso paper, a luxurious felt-marked cardstock that added a soft texture and a subtle warmth. The paper’s creamy hue perfectly complemented the autumnal tones, while the intricate details of the watercolor illustrations were brought to life through high-resolution digital printing.
To complete the suite, we added envelope liners featuring a bespoke illustration of Wasing Park’s chapel. The liners added a luxurious touch while creating excitement for the venue itself.
